About

The name is a diagram of the product.

In orbital mechanics, the line of apsides is the axis connecting the two extreme points of an orbit — the nearest and the farthest. A mortgage has two extremes of its own: the borrower’s intent, which is fluid, chaotic, and unguided; and the compliant disclosure, which is rigid, regulated, and legally pristine.

Apsis Line is the axis that connects them. Our logo draws it literally — an elliptical orbit crossed by the apsides line, a brass node at one extreme and an ink node at the other. Everything the platform does lives on that line: a self-guided journey that meets intent where it arrives, deterministic rails that keep the math honest, synchronous validation that clears the file, and a disclosure that lands clean in the system of record.

Who builds it

Apsis Line is built by Big Head Consulting, its corporate parent. The platform grew out of years inside the mortgage origination trenches — watching good borrowers bounce off bad funnels, good loan officers fight their own tooling, and good lenders pay twice for data their systems already had. It is designed by people who have keyed a 1003 at 7pm and have strong opinions about never doing it again.

What we believe

  • Honesty converts. A borrower who can check the math believes the math. The journey recommends only what its own numbers support — and captures the lead gracefully when they don’t.
  • Compliance is architecture. Policy that depends on people remembering is policy that fails on Fridays. The gates here are structural — fail-closed, per-person, replayable.
  • The LOS is the system of record. We build above the stack lenders already run, not beside it. Symbiosis, not rip-and-replace.

Where we are

The platform is in active pre-launch evaluation with lenders and technology reviewers. If you run — or are building — a retail or consumer-direct lending operation, we would like to show you a file going from first click to disclosure-ready.
